Context of my work: National Project with High Technological Constraints: Responsible for the development of a light source for a scene generator system for the DGA. (Direction Générale.des Armées) across the following spectral ranges: VIS/NIR, SWIR, MWIR, LWIR. This system will be used to calibrate and align all vision systems utilized by DGA vehicles.

International Project with High Technological Constraints: Responsible for the development of a light source for an OGSE (Optical Ground System Equipment) calibration system for a German client across the following spectral ranges: VIS/NIR, SWIR.

Additional Contributions: I also participate in the creation of a bench for MTF measurements (Modulation Transfer Function) and NETD (Noise Equivalent Temperature Difference) to qualify the cameras manufactured by the client.

My role and achievements

• Identify and Size Technical Solutions:

• Develop validation models for these technical solutions using tools like Ansys Zemax and FRED.

• Create prototypes in ISO 5 and ISO 8 cleanrooms.

• Identify and contact various suppliers.

• Manage procurement processes.

• Assemble various devices.

• Participate in client meetings.

• Contribute to the overall organization of the company.

Expert in Equipment Selection for Quality Inspection – App Vision IA

I was responsible for advising on the selection and recommendation of equipment for quality inspection across various industries, including watchmaking, leatherwork, food production, and steel manufacturing. This mission involved recommending image acquisition solutions, including cameras, lenses, and lighting, tailored to the specific needs of defect detection (scratches, tears, waste materials, packaging irregularities). My expertise in optical systems and metrology ensured that the proposed solutions were both precise and efficient, while considering the specifics of sensors and factory data integration.

- Context::

Valeo develops and designs automotive lighting and projection systems.

The role of the optical design manager is to be responsible for the deliverables of his trade to ensure the success of the project. He is responsible for the detailed planning and budgeting of his Optic Metier activities, with the support of the head of the optical department / optical team leader.

He functionally manages a group of engineers / technicians.

- Tasks:

 Take charge of the various projects: report, milestones, supplier, budget, plan....

 Respect design processes and rules: you plan, monitor and control activities according to optical.

 Be in charge of the design, validation, and review of internal requirements, customer.

 Perform or take charge of the design calculations, simulations, coding, associated acceptance.

 Be the responsible for the preparation of optical design reviews and are the interface with the customer.

 Be the responsible for detailed planning and budgeting: identification of needs.

 Manage a group of engineers: daily management, allocation and monitoring of activities…

- Main results:

 Writing of procedure and implementation of 'task plan.

 Optimization of existing Hardware (camera, lighting, diffuser, optics etc.).

 Implementation of configurations with different parameters adapted to different "Usecase".

 Successful deployment with several customers.

 Advice, choice and testing of future Hardware development (Optical choice, liquid optics, diffuser, lighting, etc.).
