Managing the security of approximately 160 applications for the Flemish Government while supporting multiple client accounts across a broad security mandate. Responsibilities span the full security lifecycle: governance, risk and compliance (GRC), vulnerability management, incident response, and hands-on technical operations.

Day-to-day activities include SIEM monitoring and log analysis, penetration testing, policy and compliance auditing, and building security tooling and automation to harden enterprise infrastructure. Notable contributions include developing Bash/Ansible automation for OpenSSL migration across RHEL 8/9 server fleets and building PowerShell-based GraphQL data collectors for platforms such as Rubrik Security Cloud.

Central Registration System of Flanders

This project involves the Central Registration System of Flanders, a platform that centralizes all housing corporations across the Flemish region to assist people in need of housing or actively searching for a home.

Responsibilities

Enhancing and developing new functionalities for the platform. Automating and optimizing daily workflows. Creating automated end-to-end tests for business analysts and testers. Documenting the project. Improving the database design and overall application architecture. Restructuring and re-engineering the logging and monitoring layer across the entire web application. Integrating a code analysis tool to maintain consistent code quality. Optimizing CI/CD pipeline execution times.

Enterprise Data Migration Project — Deloitte

Contributed to a mature, large-scale enterprise application (10+ years in production) as part of a 7-person development team working in Agile Scrum. Led the migration of a large blob dataset from on-premise SQL Server to Azure Blob Storage. Worked on modernizing a legacy codebase by integrating new technologies into the existing framework.
